Christmas Tree Lighting, Burlington, 5:30 PM: This year we will gather for a Train Station Christmas Tree Lighting at the Burlington Visitor Center right downtown. The evening will be complete with caroling & a pianist playing on the Community Piano, delicious hot beverages to warm you up, a letter to Santa station with additional kid crafts, and most importantly: The arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Claus from the North Pole!

Winter Wonderland Walk, Anacortes, 5 PM: Come enjoy the spirit of the holidays at the Wonderland Walk in Washington Park. The library will be at the campground spreading holiday cheer with a sneak peek at next year’s Adventure Day celebration. Stop by to say hello and learn about our winter programs. This event takes place outdoors so dress accordingly and bring a flashlight. FREE

Santa Paws, Mount Vernon, 4 PM: New this year! Bring your fluffy companions and capture the most adorable moments with photo opportunities for you, your furry friends, and kids! It's a fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories and get some tail-wagging photos.

Toy Donations & Santa, Mount Vernon, 12 PM: Santa is coming to town to help Mount Vernon Police Department collect toys for children! Santa will be at the Mount Vernon Police department from 12-2 PM and officers onsite from 12-3 PM FREE

Gingerbread House Decorating, Concrete, 1 PM: Stop by the Upper Skagit Library in Concrete and decorate a gingerbread house! FREE

Tree Lighting & Santa, Concrete, 4 PM: We will kick off the holiday season with the annual Town Tree Lighting at the east end of Main Street, followed by Santa’s Party inside the Concrete Theatre. FREE

Santa, Haircuts, Facials & Manicure, Mount Vernon, 11 AM: Come join us for our annual EBC Santa Event!! Kids (K-12) will receive FREE Haircuts, FREE Mini Facials, and FREE Mini Manicures. We will also have a photo booth where attendees can get a free picture with Santa!! FREE

Lighted Boat Parade, La Conner, 6 PM: The 2023 La Conner Lighted Boat Parade features stunning, hand-decorated yachts and boats illuminating the Salish Sea waters of the Swinomish Channel for a waterborne parade that travels from the La Conner Marina along the La Conner Boardwalk and under the Rainbow Bridge to Shelter Bay. FREE

Eagle Guided Nature Walk, Rockport, 11 AM: There are guided nature walks along the Skagit River taking place on Saturdays and Sundays along the Skagit River. Walk departs from the SRBEIC headquarters located in Howard Miller County Park in Rockport at 11:00am and 1:30pm. The Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center is open from 10am-4pm during their scheduled open days this season. FREE

Thursday, December 14

Pajama Storytime, Anacortes, 5 PM, Drop into this pre-bedtime storytime in your favorite pajamas for multiple stories with our librarian. We’ll read our favorite picture books, recommend some more, and have time for a song or two as well. FREE

Breakfast with Santa, Burlington, 10 AM: Join us at Railroad Pub & Pizza for Breakfast with Santa. Meet Santa, cookie decorating, ornament making station and more!

Holiday Kids Craft, Concrete, 1 PM: Stop by the Upper Skagit Library and make a holiday craft. FREE

A holiday outing for all families to enjoy during this challenging year. See spectacular lights, dazzling displays, wave to Santa and Mrs. Clauswhile listening to Christmas music from the comfort of your own car. Fun for people of all ages and affordable for everyone. Grab your keys, pack up the kids, and get out of the house for an event with Christmas spirit.

Santa Paws & Santa Claus, Mount Vernon, 4 PM: New this year! Bring your fluffy companions and capture the most adorable moments with Santa Claus. It's a fantastic opportunity to create lasting memories and get some tail-wagging photos. Open Friday-Sunday, Santa visits on Saturdays. 

Eagle Guided Nature Walk, Rockport, 11 AM: There are guided nature walks along the Skagit River taking place on Saturdays and Sundays along the Skagit River. Walk departs from the SRBEIC headquarters located in Howard Miller County Park in Rockport at 11:00am and 1:30pm. The Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center is open from 10am-4pm during their scheduled open days this season. FREE

Luminaria Winter Solstice Walk, Anacortes, 4:15 PM, In honor of the Southern Resident Orcas - Winter Solstice Luminaria Walk: Bring a luminaria on a stick to carry. Meet at cabanas by the playground at 4:15pm; walk begins at 4:30. All ages! Total walking distance is 1 mile. Bonfire & s'mores after the walk!  FREE

Noon Year's Party, La Conner Swinomish Library - 11am-Noon - Celebrate the end of 2022 with a Happy Noon Year’s Eve party at the library! Open to all ages! Culminating with a countdown to noon, we'll have games and crafts leading up to a countdown to noon.

Noon Year's Eve, Anacortes Public Library - 11:30am-12:30pm - Celebrate the new year ahead of time! We’ll have balloons, snacks, and a craft to celebrate the new year with our littlest visitors. 

Skagit Skate New Year's Parties, Burlington - 1pm-4pm/5pm-8pm/9pm-1am - Celebrate New Year’s on Skates! Enjoy the biggest and best celebration with a confetti celebration, party hats, horns, lights and a special countdown on their “Big Screen”!!!
