FREE EAGLE WEEKENDS THROUGH FEBRUARY 11 (excluding Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve).
Eastern Skagit County is BEAUTIFUL this time of year and the entire family can soak in the beauty of the beautiful Skagit Valley! Learn about eagles, watershed issues, and local natural and cultural history through presentations, guided walks, and the Nature Store. Free admission. Donations appreciated.
There are guided nature walks along the Skagit River taking place on Saturdays and Sundays along the Skagit River (except Christmas weekend). Walk departs from the SRBEIC headquarters located in Howard Miller County Park in Rockport at 11:00am and 1:30pm. The Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center is open from 10am-4pm during their scheduled open days this season.
Eagles abound in the Skagit Valley, but there are no guarantees that they will be visible during your visit. Please check out the "Eagle Viewing Locations" link below to add some additional stops to your day if you do not see them at Howard Miller State Park. You will still learn A LOT about eagles, their habitat and the beautiful Skagit Valley while you are there and it is very much worth the beautiful drive!
